The agricultural machinery exhibition AGRITECHNICA ASIA will take place for the third time from 14-16 October 2020 in Bangkok
This will offer the sector in the region a comprehensive display of machinery suitable for efficient and effective crop production. AGRITECHNICA ASIA 2020 will again benefit from the co-location of Horti ASIA and Systems & Components Asia. With the two new exclusive events in Myanmar and Thailand at the end of 2019, the organisers of AGRITECHNICA ASIA, DLG and VNU, have now expanded their relationship with farmers and dealers in Southeast Asia.
“It was through working with these farmers that we were prompted to offer these two additional events that focused on specific production areas that require targeted technical solutions,” said Katharina Staske, project manager of AGRITECHNICA ASIA.
“The successful launch of AGRITECHNICA ASIA Live in Myanmar and Agrifuture Conference in 2019 have more than lived up to expectations, and we look forward to developing the formats to make sure farmers in the region benefit from the knowledge that the DLG and its partners are able to offer.” Katharina Staske added.
A co-located event ‒ Horti ASIA 2020 will proceed its seventh edition on the same date as AGRITECHNICA ASIA 2020, 14-16 October 2020 at BITEC in Bangkok.
Apart from the country pavilions at the main exhibitions namely China, Finland, Germany, Italy, Japan, the Netherlands and Taiwan, Horti ASIA 2020 will feature a new segment, namely the Medicinal Cannabis Pavilion, in response to the burgeoning cannabis market in Thailand. As well as continuing to be a top trade show for horticultural production and processing technologies, showcasing innovations on seed breeding, irrigation, climate control, fertilizer, and fruit and vegetables processing in South-East Asia region.
Event Highlights
To complement the new show cluster, the organisers partnered up with the Thai Cannabis Industry Association (TCIA) to kick-off the satellite conference of its cannabis event series called CannaGrow Thailand, which will be adjacent to Horti ASIA 2020.
CannaGrow Thailand will feature major local and international speakers who will cover issues ranging from seed, nutrition, safety and environmental management as well as social impact and technology applications. Delegates will be able to grow their understanding of the challenges and solutions offered for the various types of farming setup and operational structures. The session will also have several panel sessions discussed the various formats and challenges, and the audience is invited to participate and ask questions to the panellist.
