FMC Corporation, an agricultural sciences and chemical manufacturing company based in Philadelphia, the USA, announced the launch of its ‘AgSenso Star Farmer App’ a mobile application for farmers in the Philippines

Developed specifically for Filipino farmers, the AgSenso Star Farmer app is aimed at being a full suite of information and a service accessible platform. The app is set to help farmers to find the right solutions to their crop challenges and nutrition needs and features a product dose calculator. The feature aims to guide farmers on the optimal usage of crop protection products and achieve economic and efficient results.

Veronica Tiburcio, country manager for FMC Philippines, said, "As the Filipino adage goes, “magtanim ay di biro” (farming is not a joke). That is why we need to support Filipino farmers in any way we can. The AgSenso Star Farmer App is one such initiative we’ve been working on. It’s our way of being available to our customers 24/7.”

According to FMC, the app features an in-built loyalty programme where farmers can accumulate points with every purchase and redeem the points for useful items like e-vouchers, electrical appliances and household products
