In an attempt to strengthen their relations with international markets, PT Widodo Makmur Perkasa Tbk (WMPP) has signed a cooperation agreement with PT Spade Investment International (SII) with plans to develop an integrated farming plan and export poultry products to China
In a report published by WMPP, CEO of the company, Tumiyono stated that this cooperation presented as an opportunity for their products to penetrate the Chinese market. Given the size of China’s population, the country already had a huge demand for meat protein supply. This meant that WMPP’s high quality products would help meet their demands. Tumiyono also explained that this partnership would help the company to continually improve its operation capacity. Through the integrated farm development plan, WMPP aims to become the leading consumer goods and agriculture commodities company in southeast Asia. Moreover, in addition to being an ISO certified company, it has also received a number of other notable certifications such as the Food Safety System Certification (FFSC) 22000, Halal certification and the Avian Influenza (AI) free certification.
Lynn Lim, president director of PT Spade Investment International expressed his excitement regarding their collaboration with WMPP. He mentioned that food safety regulations by the Indonesian and Chinese markets were one among the several things that needed careful preparation while entering the Chinese market. “We hope to excite customers with fresh quality poultry products such as meat and processed food from Indonesia,” said Lynn in the report.
