Plasticisers manufacturer Axcentive will showcase its disinfectant brand Halamid for shrimp and fish farming applications at VIV Asia 2015 in Bangkok, Thailand, on 11-13 March
“Halamid has been regarded as an essential and reliable product for aquaculture for many years. Its unique formula is designed to combat diseases and yet it is safe for fish, shrimp and aquatic environments. The product is distributed around the world by Allvet Kaset Center,” said Axcentive.
According to the company, Halamid is a universal disinfectant, which is used in numerous branches of industry like farming, aquaculture, hospitals, slaughterhouses, breweries and soft drink industry, dairy and margarine industry as well as the food industry including canning, veterinary practice and water disinfection.
Pichai Pitaktrakulsiri, CEO of Allvet Kaset Center, added, “Our aquaculture industry is in deep problems due to the EMS disease. The shrimp production is again decreasing for the second consecutive year. In two years, production has gone down 65 per cent. We do not expect Halamid alone will counter this trend, but its profile meets our needs in order to better protect our aquaculture industry from diseases.”
Axcentive will take the opportunity at VIV Asia this year to talk about the many benefits of Halamid for aquaculture, noted Pitaktrakulsiri.
