AGROS 2022 to focus on animal husbandry and breeding

The international trade fair for livestock and poultry ‘AGROS’ will start tomorrow at Crocus Expo IEC, Moscow, Russia

With active participation from the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, the international exhibition of animal husbandry, breeding and feed production is also supported by important industry associations from the professional livestock sector.

AGROS, organised by DLG’s (German Agricultural Society) subsidiary in Russia ‘DLG RUS’, is recognised as a key event in the Russian livestock sector, which is reflected in the high profile speaker attendance: Alexei Mayorov, Chairman of the Committee of the Federation Council on Agriculture and Food Policy and Environmental Management; Andrey Razin, Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation; Sergey Lisovsky, Deputy of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation; and Members of the Committee on Agrarian Issues and heads of industry associations.

Thematic areas of the AGROS exhibition cover all livestock segments of professional animal husbandry: Dairy and beef cattle, pig, poultry, goat and sheep production at all stages of the value chain.

At AGROS 2022, 352 exhibiting companies from 26 countries will present modern equipment and machinery for keeping and feeding livestock, fodder production and forage procurement, as well as genetics, feed and feed additives, veterinary and hygiene products. More than 60 companies will be taking part in these expanded exhibition areas, which significantly increase the offering of AGROS for poultry and pig production professionals.

More than 300 expert speakers will be discussing the most pressing issues in the industry. “Sustainable agriculture” is the theme underpinning the AGROS 2022 Business Program and is addressed in the plenary session “Sustainable agriculture in Russia. Prerequisites for Transformation”, organised by the National Research University, the Association “Technological Platform Biotech2030” and DLG RUS. The Business Program, which consists of 51 professional events with contributions from over 300 speakers, is designed to offer discussions on practical and applicable livestock knowledge with focus on sustainability.
