EIMA 2024: Bridging the gap between Italy and India

India’s IT hub, Bangalore recently presented the launch events of the 46th edition of EIMA International, the world exhibition of agricultural machinery to be held in Bologna from 6-10 November this year

Speakers at the press conference included the director of the ICE office in Mumbai, FederUnacoma president, Andrea Quattrocchi; and the deputy general director, Mariateresa Maschio; among others. Quattrocchi opened the conference by underlining the long collaboration between the ICE Agency and FederUnacoma, that aims to promote technical and commercial collaboration between Italy and other countries. 

“One of the missions of the Federation is to organise exhibition events that allow the supply and demand of agricultural technologies to meet, recalled Maschio. “FederUnacoma events have a strong international character and EIMA in particular looks at emerging markets with particular attention to the increasingly strategic ones in the Asian area.”

At the Bolognese event, on the other hand, a significant influx of visitors from around the world, including around 450 official delegates from 80 countries as well as visitors and buyers from 150 countries, is expected. More than 50,000 models In 14 specialised sectors, ranging from tractors, operating machines and tilling equipment to specialised vehicles for animal husbandry and forestry, will be on display in five thematic halls of the event. Themes include, components, bioenergy, irrigation, advanced electronics and gardening and care of greenery. A total of 150 events including conferences, seminars, conventions and workshops are also scheduled to take place at the exhibition. 

The event is an important opportunity for discussion on trends in agriculture and global agricultural mechanics. Stakeholders, public decision makers, professionals, university professors and researchers will be present at the event, to analyse the technical, economic and political issues affecting these two sectors in Bologna.
