Third edition of IFTC Asia: a feed technology and animal nutrition update

The upcoming International Feed Technology Conference (IFTC) — scheduled on 13 March during VICTAM Asia 2024 in Bangkok, Thailand  is a key event for professionals in the animal feed processing industry

This year, the symposium focuses on the latest advancements and innovations in animal feed technology, drawing stakeholders from around the globe to discuss recent research findings, developments, and best practices related to feed manufacturing and safety.

Organised jointly by Wageningen University and the Victam Foundation, the organisers extend a warm invitation to professors, students, researchers, and nutritionists within the animal feed industry to participate. The conference offers a unique opportunity to dive into new process technologies, with a special emphasis on the trends and innovations emerging within Asia.

The programme promises an engaging lineup of speakers, including Professor Dr Leo A den Hartog as chairman, and presentations covering a wide range of topics. From the challenges and current focuses in poultry nutrition research in Vietnam presented by Dr Mai Anh Khoa of Thai Nguyen University to the bioprocessing of agro-industrial biomass for ruminant production in developing countries by Dr Nazri Nayan of University Putra Malaysia. Dr Pairat Srichana of Charoen Pokphand Group Co Ltd will discuss feed technology under industrial research conditions in Asia, and Dr Thomas van der Poel from Wageningen University will address issues related to research into animal feed technology in Western Europe.
