There will be a focus on screens for use as an alternative to pesticides, such as BIORETE AIR PLUS, a range of high-tenacity anti-insect nets with dense, light weave, in polyethylene monofilament. (Image source: Arrigoni)

This year, Arrigoni, European leader in the production of technical textiles for agriculture, will again be exhibiting at Macfrut, one of the fruit and vegetable industry’s top international events, to be held from 8-10 May at the Rimini exhibition centre in Italy

Among the various innovative products that Arrigoni will be exhibiting at this year's event, the main focus will be on screens for use as an alternative to pesticides, such as BIORETE AIR PLUS, a range of high-tenacity anti-insect nets with dense, light weave, in polyethylene monofilament. Their ARLENE-HT yarn provides crops with the highest possible level of ventilation, while the different mesh sizes available enable targeted protection against the different types of insect.

In addition, PRISMA, Arrigoni's range of polyethylene tape textiles with LD – Light Diffusion additive, will also be presented at the show. These screens reflect IR radiation, improve the microclimate and reduce the temperature while increasing the diffused light percentage, to encourage better growth of the plants inside.

In addition to Arrigoni's most innovative solutions such as PROTECTA, the Rimini show will also be displaying all its other crop protection solutions, from the FRUCTUS anti-hail nets to the new products for use in the open field such as ARRICOVER, an innovative multipurpose bio-climatic screen for the defence of open field and protected-environment crops.

Moreover, Arrigoni has drawn on its experience in the development of 100% green, sustainable solutions for farming professionals to create a wide offering for even the most critical climate zones, such as the tropical and subtropical areas. One of the most innovative of these is the NET HOUSE, a system that provides a more sustainable, effective approach for controlling the spread of diseases, while also simultaneously mitigating the adverse effects of bad weather events such as hail, strong wind and excessive sunlight.
