Omya, a worldwide distributor of specialty chemicals, strengthens its growth in the Asia-Pacific with the acquisition of Prima Inter-Chem Kuala Lumpur, a diversified distributor of ingredients and speciality chemicals
The acquisition allows Omya to boost and develop its ingredient and speciality chemicals distribution capability in this region for the food, pharmaceutical, animal feed and industrial markets while establishing a platform for growth for the wider region.
According to Omya, this is within its strategy of acquiring complementary businesses and said that the companies share the same values and a business approach of helping customers and principals expand their market reach, both locally and internationally.
