Achieving greater efficiency in silos and feeding systems

MG 7973 International PoultryThe UK’s leading silo manufacturer, Collinson, will showcase its recently launched Atlas Silo range and latest feeding systems at VIV Asia 2017

The Collinson stand at the event will showcase the Atlas Silo allowing visitors to appreciate the quality and special features at first hand. According to the company, the smooth internal walls and a choice of cone angles provide optimum feed flow and uninterrupted feed delivery whilst hygienically storing valuable feed. For longevity, the support structure is designed to the latest Eurocodes and all the silos are manufactured from premium grades of high tensile galvanised steel and are available with an additional Plasteel finish, a durable polymer based coating system suitable for the most demanding of climates.

With capacities up to 40 tonnes (54m³) there are models suitable for different feed types including filling and discharge options to suit a range of applications. The company has developed an ingenious and robust central roof filling hatch, distinctive in its ‘lay-flat’ design in the open position and extremely reliable in operation which is undertaken from ground level, eliminating the need for access ladders and the risk of working at height.

Also on display will be Collison’s range of poultry feeding system – Spinfeeder for broiler breeders, which is the ideal choice for feeding parent and grandparent stock as the feed is distributed in a circular spread pattern providing uniform distribution and making feed available to all birds.

roboSpin, the company’s innovative new scratch feeding system, which claims to aid fertile egg production and flock productivity, will also be on display at the show. The feeding system is designed to encourage social interaction and improve fertility rates by travelling silently down specialist tracking distributing a small amount of food to entice birds down from the boxes.

Collison will be present in Stand 1862, Hall 100 at VIV Asia 2017.
