Asia being the largest and most populous continent on the planet has experienced a growing demand for storage in the recent years, making it a key area for Symaga
After penetrating the market almost a decade ago, Symaga has supplied silos for one of the main bulk port terminals in Indonesia and began adding to their reference list countries such as Korea, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Vietnam and Japan.
In 2016, the company highlighted two relevant projects in Bangladesh. The first project consisted of a new storage plant of 59,452 cu m for Akij group´s mill in Dhaka, where Symaga supplied four flat bottom silos SBH2444/26 models. The customer satisfaction allowed the company to develop the extension phase along with other plants for this important group of more than 100.000 tons. In the same year, Symaga also delivered another project for CITY AUTO RICE, a rice mill that belonged to CITY GROUP, and had a total scope of 13 hopper silos with a capacity of 16.037 cu m.
A couple of years later, the company supplied their silos to one of the biggest local business groups, BASHUNDHARA Ltd. The new grain terminal having a capacity of 69,664 cu m fulfilled the aim of enhancing wheat trade in the country. In the same year, Myanmar summed three new projects in Myanmar: Kirim’s new brewery, with nine hopper silos; a new logistics terminal of 55,000 cu m with 13 flat bottom silos; and a wheat storage plant for the new mill by one of the leading global food groups, Wilmar.
The consolidation in the Asian market has been achieved in the recent years with projects such as City Group, one of the main agroindustry players in Bangladesh. The project has entrusted Symaga for the second time for the Rupshi plant, in Dhaka, having a total storage of 406.059 cu m. Logistics and safety storage play a key role in food security strategies. Symaga´s storage solutions have been chosen by the Thai government which, together with The Phoenix 99 supplies the rice storage plant with a total capacity of 49,660cu m, for mains cooperatives such as San Pa Tong y Sawankhalok.
Symaga, withan increasing number of important projects in its portfolio has taken stock of its Asian presence, thereby endorsing a growing in the coming years.
