AGRITECHNICA ASIA 2026 is set to bring a fresh dimension to agricultural trade events with the launch of its new “Startup Day”.
Organised by DLG Markets Asia Pacific, the event will take place from 20 to 22 May 2026 in Thailand and aims to highlight innovation while building stronger links between Europe and Asia’s agricultural sectors.
Held alongside HortEx, the event will once again unite crop production technology with horticulture, offering a shared platform that reflects the region’s immediate farming needs. Visitors can expect to see a wide range of solutions, from automated harvesting systems to precision irrigation and energy efficient greenhouse technologies. Startups will play an important role, bringing fresh ideas and practical tools suited to local conditions.
The exhibition is expected to attract around 18,000 professional visitors and more than 350 exhibitors from across the globe. With support from the German Agricultural Society and the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives of Thailand, the event also sees Germany participating as the official partner country. A strong technical programme featuring around 100 international speakers will explore topics such as sustainable farming, climate resilience, digital tools, and market trends.
A key highlight this year is the dedicated Startup Day, scheduled for 21 May. This full day forum is designed for startups, investors, researchers, corporates, and policymakers. It creates a space not only to showcase innovation but also to address real challenges such as funding, regulations, and scaling ideas across diverse markets.
“With AGRITECHNICA Asia 2026, we aim to build the startup and innovation hub for the region. Our goal is to bring together ecosystem players from around the world, spotlight local innovators and entrepreneurs, and help new technologies find a smoother path into diverse Southeast Asian markets. The Startup Day creates space for collaboration where we hope to support practical solutions and long term partnerships that address the region’s most pressing agricultural challenges,” said Christopher Armstrong.
Supported by partners including Bosch and Technical University of Munich, the programme will feature a hackathon, startup pitches, panel discussions, and networking sessions. AGRITECHNICA ASIA continues to reflect the rising importance of Asia’s agricultural markets while creating a space where ideas and collaboration can shape the future of farming.
