RX Japan announced the return of J AGRI, a comprehensive agricultural trade show, taking place from 22-24 May 2024, at Makuhari Messe in Japan

This year, J AGRI will offer a more focused experience for visitors with the introduction of three dedicated sub-shows:

J AGRI SUPPLY

The show presents a diverse array of agricultural supplies, featuring the latest advancements in greenhouse technology, open-field cultivation materials, farm machinery, fertilisers, wildlife prevention products, and more. J AGRI TECH

The show features specialised zones like the Plant Factory Zone and Drone/Robot Zone, offering insights into how technology is revolutionising agriculture and optimising production processes.

J AGRI LIVESTOCK

This event brings together suppliers and manufacturers of livestock farming equipment, feed, feed additives, barn systems, farm management solutions, and animal health control technologies. With dedicated areas such as the AI/Smart Livestock Technology Zone and Feed & Feed Additives Zone, this exhibition highlights advancements in livestock management and welfare, catering to the evolving needs of the industry.

With this improved structure, J AGRI focuses on key product categories to ensure that visitors can efficiently find specific products and solutions for their interests and needs.

The new agritech innovations platform, AgriBITS recently announced  the opening of visitor registration for the highly anticipated AgriBITs 2024 Summit

This year, Arrigoni, European leader in the production of technical textiles for agriculture, will again be exhibiting at Macfrut, one of the fruit and vegetable industry’s top international events, to be held from 8-10 May at the Rimini exhibition centre in Italy

Among the various innovative products that Arrigoni will be exhibiting at this year's event, the main focus will be on screens for use as an alternative to pesticides, such as BIORETE AIR PLUS, a range of high-tenacity anti-insect nets with dense, light weave, in polyethylene monofilament. Their ARLENE-HT yarn provides crops with the highest possible level of ventilation, while the different mesh sizes available enable targeted protection against the different types of insect. 

In addition, PRISMA, Arrigoni's range of polyethylene tape textiles with LD – Light Diffusion additive, will also be presented at the show. These screens reflect IR radiation, improve the microclimate and reduce the temperature while increasing the diffused light percentage, to encourage better growth of the plants inside.

In March 2024, Bangkok hosted the 16th edition of VICTAM Asia and GRAPAS Asia, alongside Health & Nutrition Asia, at BITEC

Breaking records, the event attracted 8,722 visitors from 73 countries, highlighting its importance in the animal feed and grain processing industries. This year, 315 exhibitors from around the world showcased their latest products and innovations, confirming the event's status as Asia's go-to exhibition for these sectors.

The significant jump in attendance, a 42.5% increase from 2022, reflects a growing interest in these fields and marks a solid recovery and growth after the challenges posed by the pandemic. The event brought together a wide range of industry leaders, including executives from top companies like AMP International and Cargill, as well as ASEAN investors and academics. This mix of attendees fostered valuable discussions and connections.

A key part of the event was the comprehensive programme of conferences and seminars. With 141 speakers from 14 countries, topics covered included the future of livestock feed, shrimp farming innovations, and advancements in feed safety and milling technology. The third International Feed Technology Congress, organised with Wageningen University, focused on the ASEAN feed industry's developments and challenges.

Conferences like ‘Flour Milling Maximised’ discussed the changing wheat processing industry, addressing both current practices and future directions. Another highlight was the Thai Feed Mill Association conference, where discussions centered on modernising livestock feed for 2024 and managing carbon footprints. The ‘Networking Night’ was another event highlight, drawing over 250 industry professionals for an evening of discussions and networking.

This event emphasised the industry's strong interest in the latest technological advancements. The next edition of VICTAM Asia and GRAPAS Asia together with Health & Nutrition Asia is scheduled for 10–12 March 2026, at BITEC, Bangkok.
