De Heus opens new shrimp feed mill in Vietnam

International animal feed producer, De Heus organised the grand opening of a new shrimp feed mill on 5 March at the Co Chien Industrial Zone located in the Vinh Long province of Vietnam

Having an annual capacity of 50,000 metric tonnes, the feed mill which is spread out over an area of 29,300 sq m, features five production lines exclusively dedicated to shrimp feed products. Highlighting De Heus's commitment to long-term, strategic investments in the production of highly effective shrimp feed, the mill leverages cutting-edge technology imported from Europe. Moreover, the entire production process adheres rigorously to international quality standards. 

Speaking at the event, Consul General of the Netherlands in Ho Chi Minh City, Daniel Stork said, “This shrimp feed factory is not just a building; it is a significant boost for the local economy and the aquaculture industry here. By providing top-notch feed products, it is going to help shrimp farmers, improve yields and ensure food security for the community. It is a big step forward for sustainable development and economic growth in Vinh Long and beyond.”

To get a firsthand experience of high-quality shrimp feed production, guests including esteemed dignitaries, customers, partners, prominent leaders from local authorities and members of the press were invited to a tour inside the feed mill.

General director of De Heus Vietnam, Johan van den Ban also expressed his excitement regarding thir partnership.
