InVivo NSA has acquired Indonesia-based nutrition solutions provider Welgro, capitalising on plans to increase its presence in Indonesia’s livestock sector

Welgro, located south of Jakarta, is known in the local feed market for its quality products and trademark Gelang Merah, said InVivo NSA.

InVivo NSA’s technological know‐how and its high level of expertise and innovation in the poultry sector worldwide will allow the acceleration of Welgro’s complete feed range in Indonesia.

With the acquisition, the European company is also looking at consolidating its growth in Vietnam, Cambodia, China, India, Myanmar, Thailand, the Philippines and China.

InVivo NSA CEO Hubert de Roquefeuil said, “InVivo NSA has an ambitious development plan for Asia, based on two pillars. We are consolidating our established positions through an active strategy of targeted acquisitions in our five main activities, increasing our presence in Asia as well as strengthening our export business in Southeast Asia.”

Along with Latin America and Africa, Asia is one of InVivo NSA’s three priority investment areas as its a high potential growth area. The growing population and diversity in demand for animal protein are compelling reasons for InVivo’s expansion plans.

The company has been accelerating its development in Asia over the last two years through new plants in Indonesia and Vietnam, a new river loading dock in Vietnam. It has also made a move into the Philippines, in addition, plant construction projects and acquisitions are under consideration.
