Nairobi receives three new tractor variants from Mahindra

India-based tractor giant, Mahindra Tractors—well known for its efficiency and resilience—announced its collaboration with Nairobi’s market leader in vehicle distribution, Simba Colt Aspire Ltd, at a launch event which took place in February this year

Three variants of Mahindra Tractors namely, Mahindra 2025, Mahindra 6075 and Mahindra 9200 were rolled out in the country. Principal Secretary for Agriculture, Paul Ronoh welcomed the partnership by extending his support and commitment to improve farmers’ access to mechanisation services.

According to a report by Nairobi news, Governor of Busia county, Paul Otuoma who was also present at the event, underscored the importance of mechanised tillage, while also highlighting that their administration had already introduced the service in their county.

Farmers willing to avail the benefits of the mechanisation service, had to prepare and register their farms by paying a fee of US$17,542 which also included ploughing expenses.
