New Holland Agriculture has delivered the first 230-hp T7070 tractor to Antony Lara Enviro Solution Pvt Ltd, an integrated waste management company in Greater Mumbai in India, to provide support to cut the city’s greenhouse gas emissions by improving solid waste treatment

A leading provider of agricultural equipments throughout the world, New Holland’s T7070 tractor will be a part of the Antony Lara’s current project for processing and disposal of 4,000 tonnes of waste per day for a period of 25 years in Mumbai.

The blue power range tractors will help the project by operating as an aeromaster compost window turner, which will oxygenate the biodegradable waste.

The T7070’s ‘Engine Power Management’ plays a key role in meeting the requirement of high PTO power in the tractor’s task to operate as a large compost windrow turner.

Antony Lara’s solid waste management project in Mumbai is aimed to reduce direct dumping of solid waste in the dumping grounds and enable production of by-products which can be used for power generation and heat recovery, thereby promoting sustainable waste management in the city.

According to the company, this initiative accomplishes the brand’s Clean Energy Leader strategy, which was launched 10 years ago to increase farming efficiency and sustainability across the world, leading New Holland’s involvement in biomass projects globally.

With FPT Industrial NEF engine and Auto Command transmission, the T7070 tractor is expected to add high efficiency and productivity to help in the aeration process in this project. The EPM feature will measure the load placed on the driveline during PTO work, and increases engine power when necessary to meet user demand.

In addition, the operator can monitor the tractor’s working parameters on the touchscreen IntelliView IV display, to provide an overview of the work progress.

With this project, the company is looking forward to providing more technical solutions from its product range to similar projects in India.
