Verba has announced that launch of a new kind of piglet area for more comfort and can be located in the front side of a regular farrowing pen
The new piglet space saves labour and energy, according to the Dutch livestock equipment company.
The cabin called Verba Piglet Cabin is comfortable for pigs as the roof and front side are made of transparent polycarbonate.
The cabin helps saves labour as the piglets can be weaned easily due to a mobile front side and cleaning is easy.
Energy saving is also achieved as the floor is equipped with a rubber element which contains floor heating. The plastic floor retains its temperature and will not cool down when piglets go for a drink.
Verba added that the piglet cabin is available in all sizes and will fit in any farrowing pen.
