Vermeer introduces the heavy duty TM850 trailed mower with the ability to mow a high volume of acres, a new Vermeer design, a patent pending hydraulic suspension system, and a 3-year cutterbar warranty.
The Vermeer TM850 trailed mower takes on an overall new design and look, yet maintains the rugged tradition of a classic Vermeer product. The heavy duty TM850 trailed mower utilizes a formed 6"/15.24 cm steel tube frame for added durability to mow 10'5"/3.2 m wide. The frame distributes loading and reduces stress levels in harsh mowing conditions. Plus it offers a new molded hood that lifts up out of the way for full access to the cutterbar for routine service and maintenance, and to minimize debris build-up.
The TM850 trailed mower has a unique patent pending self-aligning driveline system for smooth operation in all tongue positions to easily maneuver around obstacles. The nitrogen charged hydraulic suspension system allows the cutterbar to closely follow ground contours and pivot up and over hidden obstacles for excellent cutting. No tools are needed in the field to make suspension setting changes.
Cutting height is adjustable from 1.25" to 3" (3.2 cm - 7.6 cm). Hydraulic cutterbar pitch control (from 0 to 6º) sets cutting height and allows the operator to adjust for different crops and conditions without the use of tools. An exclusive Quick-Clip Blade Retention system allows operators to replace or reverse the blades in seconds using just the Quick-Clip system and a special tool that comes with the mower.
The heavy built TM850 cutterbar features segmented hex-shaped drive shafts and comes equipped with eight self-contained cutting units. Each cutting unit is sealed with its own set of gears, bearings and lubricant to help reduce service time, repairs and cost. Low-profile cutting discs with wide skid shoes provide smooth, clean cutting action with maximum protection. Each disc contains a set of extra thick (5mm) dual edge, reversible blades for longer life. Tractor hook up is as easy as the drop of a pin to quickly move from the farm to the field with no 3-pt. arm attachment connected. Also included is a 50-hour extended lube driveline.
The TM850 trailed mower comes with a 3-year cutterbar warranty protection including parts and labor. The limited warranty covers cutterbar and internal components on all new Vermeer mower models. The 2420 lb/1097.7 kg unit requires a 540 rpm drive system with minimum drawbar horsepower of 60 hp/44.7 kW. Hydraulic requirements include two pair of auxiliary remote outlets (minimum 2000 psi, 6 gpm flow / 103 BAR, 22.7L/min).
