New target markets for forestry technology to be explored during workshop at INTERFORST 2022
As part of INTERFORST 2022, which will take place from 17 - 20 July 2022 at Messe München Exhibition Centre in Munich, Germany, the DLG (German Agricultural Society) and Messe München are inviting attendees to take part in a new workshop focusing on new target markets for forestry technology in Southeast Europe
The focus of the workshop will be international regions showing promising market potential. Sounding out the prospects of the Southeast European region, the workshop features regional experts along with companies that are not only operating successfully in these markets but also have an interest in establishing further contacts.
Following a presentation of the economic area – including forest resources, forestry development status and goals, political and economic framework conditions –presented by international forestry expert Paul Dima from Finland, decision-makers from several attractive target markets will highlight background facts related to investment and national forestry development goals.
On the basis of these presentations, concrete findings and recommendations on short- and medium-term procurement demand will be presented. A concise insight into the experiences of companies active in the markets will offer valuable advice on the technical and organisational challenges. Workshop attendees will be offered the opportunity at the end of the session to make direct contact with the international guests and speakers.
The workshop will take place on 19 July, 2022 from 16:00 to 18:00 (CET) in the INTERFORST Forum in Hall B6. According to DLG, the event language is English with German translation planned.

DLG Feldtage 2022 to host technical programme on crop production
The DLG Feldtage 2022 trade fair, which will take place under the guiding theme of My crop production, will be held from 14-16 June in Germany
Many of the over 260 registered exhibitors can now register to participate in the professional topics that form part of the technical programme which will be held at the Kirschgartshausen Versuchsgut ‘Experimental Farm’ near Mannheim, Germany. The DLG expects some 350 exhibitors from the crop production sector at this year’s DLG-Feldtage open air field event.
"The DLG Feldtage 2022 has very good prospects of being able to take place again as the first industry venue after a long time," said project manager Andreas Steul. "We continue to receive registrations from exhibitors," he added.
Special features on field vegetables and organic farming
As the DLG Feldtage 2022 will take place in the immediate vicinity of the Palatinate, Germanys largest enclosed open-air vegetable growing area, a DLG special feature on the topic of ‘Field Vegetables’ is planned, which will focus on all professional aspects of growing and marketing field vegetables.
The special feature ‘Organic Farming’ will offer professional information on plant breeding, cultivation advice, operating resources and agricultural technology as well as advice on marketing.
Exhibitor interest in machine demonstration growing
The exhibitors are showing great interest in taking part in the machinery demonstrations, which are part of DLG-Feldtage’s programme highlights. More than 70 machines have registered currently, including 20 machines for shallow tillage (from chain disc harrows to organic tillers, shallow cultivators, disc harrows and shallow ploughs), 16 hoes, 13 crop protection sprayers, seven harrows, seven tractors and telescopic loaders on the new theme Lifting, loading and filling in the field, six fertiliser spreaders and four N-sensors.
Field robots at work
The International Field Robot Event (FRE) will take place for the fourth time at the DLG Feldtage 2022. International teams of students will compete with their field robots to establish which can achieve the best results in the test field, where conditions will correspond to those that would be found in real-life farming situations. This year, companies manufacturing field robots will be presenting their solutions practically in the field, adding to the offering of field robots.
